POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for the oversight and execution of all phases of payroll in the United States.
This position will ensure that payroll is processed timely, accurately and in compliance with government regulations and company policies.
In addition to payroll, this position is responsible for managing the US employee 401(k) plan, fiduciary responsibilities for managing vendors and compliance requirements and ensuring accuracy of the processes for elections, deductions, and reporting. This role requires the ability to both manage a team and be hands-on to get the work done.
As the leader of the US payroll organization, this role will be instrumental in payroll integration from acquired companies and centralizing payroll processing. Key Duties :
- Lead all aspects of payroll for employees in the US.
This involves accurately processing multi-state payroll for over 1200 employees on a weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly basis.
Ensure that all payrolls are processed on time, accurately and in compliance with government regulations and Company policies.Act as Plan Administer for the Vessco, Inc.401(k) plan.
Manage the US employee 401(k) plan, fiduciary responsibilities for managing vendors and compliance requirements and ensuring accuracy of the processes for elections, deductions, and reporting.Lead the annual 401(k) audit and partner with internal and external parties to complete the annual audit.Ensure the annual 5500 forms are filed accurately and timely.Manage vendors to ensure compliance with processes, legal requirements, and service expectations.Lead and develop team members.Build partnerships across the organization to achieve shared objectives.Integrate payroll from acquired companies to centralize payroll processing.Create long-term strategies for continuous improvements.Serve as a liaison between company and local, state, and federal agencies regarding payroll issues, processing of all Quarterly and Annual tax reports and filings and ensure that we are compliant.Represent the Payroll function for all Internal and External audit queries.Stay current with industry trends and standard methodologies in Payroll Service, technology, and service delivery.Maintain confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll related information.
