Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring that all patrons feel welcomed and valued. A passion for customer service and a keen attention to detail are essential in creating a positive atmosphere within our restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize dining flow.
- Provide menus and inform guests of daily specials or promotions.
- Maintain an organized waitlist during busy periods and communicate wait times clearly to guests.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously, providing assistance as needed.
- Uphold cleanliness standards in the host area and throughout the restaurant.
- Assist with phone etiquette by answering calls, taking reservations, and providing information about the restaurant's offerings.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Team player mentality with a willingness to help colleagues as needed.
- A passion for guest services and creating memorable dining experiences in a restaurant or hotel setting is highly desirable.
