We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Knowledge of OpenTable is necessary. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in our restaurant. A strong background in hospitality and customer service is essential to excel in this role.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive, providing a positive first impression of the restaurant.
- Manage the seating chart and efficiently seat guests based on their preferences and availability.
- Handle reservations and waitlists using the Aloha POS system to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate guest needs and special requests.
- Assist with guest inquiries, providing information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Help resolve any guest concerns or issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Support the team during busy periods by assisting with food service or other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
- Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating a commitment to guest relations and satisfaction.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
