JOB DESCRIPTION : Room Attendant
POSITION SUMMARY
The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and supplying all assigned guest rooms / suites according to the standards established by the hotel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties :
- Cleans assigned rooms / suites daily according to company standards, including vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors; dusting, brushing, polishing and vacuuming furniture; dusting and cleaning room decorations, appliances and structural surfaces; cleaning showers, tubs, sinks and bathrooms items; making beds, removes used and replaces guest room amenities as necessary, etc.
- Provides information to guests about hotel services, facilities and other available amenities in a courteous, accurate manner.
- Reports all room maintenance items to supervisor.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE
Education and / or Experience :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills :
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Mathematical Skills :
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Computer Skills :
Has the minimal skills necessary to operate a computer. Can log on to a computer system, navigate in windows, perform simple tasks within applications and enter information into a database.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
