JOB SUMMARY: Your Flight Plan!
The General Manager fulfills a key, full-time position that provides exceptional property management, leadership and direction on behalf of a large and dynamic master-planned community. As a key associate with the client, other on-site staff, the company, and internal support staff, the General Manager shall carry out the role with a view toward delivering excellence and professionalism in all interactions with these stakeholders and team-members.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Ready to Fly!
- Inspect communities and make maintenance recommendations.
- Understand and carry out the terms and conditions of the Management Contracts.
- Develop and submit complete and accurate annual budget(s), meeting all deadlines and demonstrating thorough analysis and consideration for the goals of the asset as well as market conditions to make qualified decisions.
- Develop and maintain an effective ongoing resident relation plan, implement initiatives, and maintain an operating environment to achieve a exemplary level of resident services.
- Coordinate activities with other corporate support functions.
- Analyze advantages and disadvantages of alternative solutions to problems and make recommendations to the Board of Directors.
- Prepare for, attend, present Manager’s Reports and Financial Reports, and summarize in notes and minutes all Board of Director meetings.
- Fully develop all potential revenue opportunities.
- Implement standard operating procedures that are consistent with the culture.
- Interface regularly with internal customers and external vendors and clients.
- Hire, train, mentor, and support team members.
- The General Manager will supervise all the on-site staff and off-site associates in support of the communities Vesta serves.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: The Wingspan Needed!
- 5 to 10 years of industry experience.
- 3 to 5 years leadership experience.
- LCAM designation.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
- Occasional travel may be required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Our Nest is your Nest!
- This position will be based onsite at the facility. Performing regular community site inspections is a requirement as well as attendance at periodic Company leadership meetings.
- Ability to lift up to 15lbs
