JOB SUMMARY: The Architectural Intern will assist our Architecture efforts, and includes the following duties and responsibilities:
JOB DUTIES:
- Prepares and modifies architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc. as directed by others utilizing Revit/BIM.
- Develops solutions to technical and design problems following established standards.
- Incorporates Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
- Engage with other interns across the enterprise as part of the overall Summer Internship Program.
- Comply with Company’s Quality Control and Project Management procedures.
- Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization’s goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work is performed in a Vestal Corporation office.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and able to operate a computer and other office equipment.
- Must be able to move about the office to access office equipment and other office buildings within the Vestal office complex.
- This position frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information.
- Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or similar is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience or willingness to learn AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.
- Ability to travel.
- Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.
- Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.
