Vestal Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center -
Vestal Park is looking for a highly motivated person to join our Maintenance team. Job responsibilities will be painting and light Maintenance. Hours are 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm Monday - Friday with mandatory call ins on a rotating basis.
Job Summary
Works under the direction of the Building Maintenance Director performing a variety of skilled jobs including the maintenance and repair of the building and equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Except as specifically noted, the following functions are considered essential to this position :
Implements all aspects of preventive maintenance program
Repairs emergency breakdowns as quickly as possible, giving priority to work that is urgently needed
Performs general plumbing repair such as replacing and unclogging hair traps, unplugging toilets, repairing washers and dryers
Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on HVAC system
Maintains and replaces electric outlets and light bulbs, rewires or replaces wiring in various equipment including the laundry
Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on washers, dryers, kitchen equipment and appliances
Performs carpentry and painting as assigned
Assists in maintaining the grounds in a clean and orderly fashion
Plows parking lots with company truck; cleans and salts sidewalks
Keeps maintenance shop and all work areas clean
Performs a variety of related duties as assigned
Works on call and overtime as required
Snow Removal
Requirements
High school diploma or GED; supplementary education is desirable
Must be able to read, write and follow instructions
Prior building maintenance experience plus an understanding of electrical equipment, plumbing, building maintenance, carpentry and ancillary equipment required
Driver license is required
