Laundry aide

We are looking for an energetic person that loves working with the elderly to join our Laundry Team.

Full Time positions available. You will be required to work everyother weekend

Get paid the same day you work with Daily Pay!

Qualifications :

• Ability to learn from on-the-job training and inservices.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Ability to operate laundry machinery

Special Requirements :

Ability to stoop, reach, push, pull, lift and carry approximately 30 pounds.

Ability to stand on feet for duration of shift.

Must be able to work for extended hours as needed for the facility.

Responsibilities :

Washing soiled laundry :

• Sort soiled laundry;
• Load washers to proper capacity;
• Remove wet laundry to bin.

Drying laundry :

• Load dryers to proper capacity with wet laundry from bins;
• Remove laundry from dryer to bin.

Fold all linen and personal laundry and put in appropriate area (shelves / carts, etc.).

Stock laundry carts with clean linen.

Count and record all laundry processed.

Re-Mark any faded names on laundry / linen.

Deliver carts to nursing units and return empty carts to laundry room.

Processing personal laundry :

• Sort, wash, dry, fold and / or hang clothing;
• Delivers disposable briefs to appropriate residents and places in closets.

Identifies and communicates ideas for operational changes that will lead to improved patient / care / services and / or to cost savings or time savings.
