By joining the team at Cheyenne Wells, CO we are pleased to offer you a sign-on bonus. This bonus is reflecting our commitment to fostering a collaborative and rewarding relationship.
This is a one-time payout of $2, and will be subject to applicable taxes and withholdings. The details of the sign-on bonus, including the amount and payment schedule will be provided with your offer letter.
If you have Basic Safety Training, Basic Technical Training and Advanced Rescue Training Global Wind Organization (GWO) certifications, we will also offer you an additional $2, bonus as a token of your skills and expertise that you bring to Vestas.
In addition, relocation assistance may be available.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
In this position you’ll use your skills and experience to perform scheduled service, fault analysis / troubleshooting, and potential main component or blade work on wind turbines.
During a typical day, you will work at heights and in confined spaces, while being exposed to the elements of weather. At this site near Cheyenne Wells, CO, you will typically have shifts 4 days a week at - hours a day, with guaranteed overtime opportunities! You also will have an on-call rotation schedule for off-work hours or weekends.
The team here normally works in teams of 2-3 and typically will climb 1-2 turbines a day.
MORE ABOUT YOU
You will need a safety-focused mindset
Your positive attitude will contribute to your ability to work in a team environment, while being motivated and taking initiative in daily tasks
You can identify solutions to issues with process of elimination
You will bring at least a year of wind experience, a wind certificate with experience in a heavy industrial background, or 2-3 years of relevant experience in electrical or mechanical work
