Job Summary
Counts and sorts soiled linen; preparing linens for washing, counts clean articles and stacks them on shelves. Delivers clean linen to the appropriate closets and storage areas. Operates the automatic laundry room equipment to process the linen and presses all articles before use, in accordance with established Vestavia Country Club and departmental policies and procedures.
JOB DUTIES:
· Laundry staff attendants are responsible for following procedure for properly maintaining laundry equipment and are followed steps for cleaning linens.
· Receives and removes stains from soiled linens.
· Unloads hampers from laundry chute and inspects for stains and damage.
· Classifies, counts, and separates articles into batches and prepared for washing.
· Process linens through laundry equipment following proper procedure per equipment’s specific instructions.
· Press and fold linens.
· Maintains linen supply on shelves and closets.
· Cleans laundry room and laundry equipment.
· Issues appropriate linens to designated personnel.
· Reports needed laundry supplies
· Implements required safety procedures
· Assist in inventory.

· Must be available for emergency and scheduled work requirements on evenings, weekends, or holidays
· Must be available to work flexible shifts and overtime if necessary.
Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 30 lbs.
· Requires long periods of time standing, lifting, carrying trays, frequent bending and reaching.
· Essential hand/eye coordination.
·Substantial repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers.
Physical Requirements
· High school diploma or GED.
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs without restrictions.
· Must be able to push and pull up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
· Good communication and organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time, frequent bending, crouching, kneeling and reaching.
· Must be available for emergency and scheduled work requirements on evenings, weekends or holidays.
· Must be available to work flexible shifts and overtime if necessary.
· Ability to work with others.
