What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Associate position at Vestavia Hills Methodist Church?
Responsibilities:
Demonstrates commitment and support for the vision and missions of the Church.
Models and maintains high ethical standards.
Performs work in the facility in accordance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
Maintains high standards of sanitation and work safety.
Maintains an effective working relationship with Food Service Director and church staff.
Maintains expertise in assigned area to fulfill all kitchen needs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Physical and emotional ability and dexterity to perform required work and move about as needed in a fast-paced, high-intensive work environment.
Ability to lift 40 pounds.
Assist in preparation of meals, missions, and day school.
Hospitality focused performance in all duties as they relate to the kitchen and service.
Qualifications:
Experience in Large Volume cooking
Jefferson County Food Handlers Card or Serv Safe Certification
Job Types: Temporary, Contract
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
