What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Business Systems Analyst position at Vestis?
Overview:
The Associate Business Systems Analyst provides support of IT Systems related to business functions and processes. This includes daily operational support as well as new projects and enhancements. Modeling Vestis’ Mission and Values, this role will work closely with business partners and IT colleagues in Financial Shared Services and Customer Service. This role reports to the IT Senior Director.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Assist with the gathering and documentation of business requirements, functional design, and system specifications
- Understand business problems and propose potential solutions
- Develop project tasks, estimates, and schedules
- Develop test cases and test plans, and conduct integration testing activities
- Provide end-user support as needed for business applications
- Support break/fix, enhancement, and administrative requests via Vestis’ ticketing systems
- Maintain good standing and completion on all compliance related matters (i.e., assigned mandatory trainings, actions required from audits, corporate policies, etc.)
- Perform all additional duties and responsibilities based on the direction and guidance of supervisor
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Professional level verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage and work on multiple concurrent deliverables at various stages of development and completion
- Demonstrated attention to detail and quality of work
- Willingness to seek out and implement coaching, suggestions, and guidance from others
- SQL
- Programming is a plus
Working Environment/Safety Requirements:
- Adhere to Vestis safety policies and report potential safety issues while working from Vestis locations
- Ensure necessary working environment and capabilities to effectively carry out responsibilities if working from a non-Vestis location (remote work)
- Ability and willingness to handle work related issues during all hours of the day, every day of the week, understanding the responsibility of our organization’s requirement for 24/7 production support
- Ability, willingness, and flexibility to travel as needed for approved work purposes in accordance with project and management schedules
Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Be legally able to work in the United States: U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident
License Requirements/Certifications:
- Valid U.S. drivers license (for rental cars when applicable)
