Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a hospital setting, focusing on acute pain management, triage, and discharge planning. This role requires a strong understanding of patient needs across various age groups, including toddler care, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Perform triage duties to prioritize patient care based on urgency and medical necessity.
- Manage acute pain management protocols for patients in inpatient settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective discharge planning and follow-up care.
- Utilize Cerner for electronic health records management, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide specialized care in areas such as ophthalmology and pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) as needed.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license and certification in the state of practice.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Familiarity with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.
