RATE RANGE: $40/hr - $44.18/hr **Depending on Experience
SIGN-ON BONUS: up to $7,500
SHIFT: Full-Time, (6:30a-7:30p and/or 6:30p-7:30a)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
A Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care and assessment to long term and rehabilitation residents. A Registered Nurse may supervise duties performed by LPN's and CNA 's in a team care setting under the direction of the Nurse Manager., Nursing Supervisor and/or Director of Nursing.
Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and treatment to long term and rehabilitation residents.

Provide assessment and documentation of residents under their care.

Initiates and administers Intravenous treatments.

Communicates with the Nursing team and medical team as appropriate.

Reviews and evaluates the resident care plan.

Transcribes Physician orders.

May assist in orientating new staff.

Maintains competency in all site-specific tasks required by the facility.
REQUIREMENTS:
- New York State Licensed Professional Licensure - RN (not expired)
- Experience in long-term care facility - preferred
- Able to interpret patient information and make critical decisions about necessary actions.
- Ability to supervise and work well with and show respect toward other health care personnel (i.e., CNAs, LPNs, physicians, etc.), residents, and their family members.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Able to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness, and kindness.
- Physical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
