Summary
The Intern role provides a learning experience in a manufacturing setting for students’ related field of undergraduate or graduate study. Internships with an Health/safety/Quality and/ or Engineering focus would support activities pertaining to Vesuvius' s Safety and/or Manufacturing and/or Quality programs.

Education and Experience
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering field of study
- Previous experience as an intern a plus
- MS Office computer skills
- MicroStation and/or AutoCAD proficient
- Verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a safe manner.
- Ability to interpret and understand technical documents.
- Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Ability to travel regionally.
- Valid PA drivers’ license and reliable transportation
- Provide administrative support to HSE/production and maintenance departments.
- Assist in conducting safety inspections and risk assessments across all facility.
- Collaborate with team to develop an updated safety procedures and guidelines.
- Support the site safety training.
- Assist in site HSE compliance.
- Work closely with HSE team to analyze data and trend related to safety metrics
- Support the promotion of a safety culture by creating awareness campaigns and education materials.
