Summary
The Intern role provides a learning experience in a manufacturing setting for students’ related field of undergraduate or graduate study. Internships with an engineering focus would support activities pertaining to Vesuvius Penn’s Safety and/or Engineering and/or Quality programs.

Education and Experience
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering field of study
- Previous experience as an intern a plus
Skills and Abilities
- MS Office computer skills
- MicroStation and/or AutoCAD proficient
- Verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a safe manner.
- Ability to interpret and understand technical documents.
- Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Ability to travel regionally.
- Valid PA drivers’ license and reliable transportation
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide administrative support for the engineering and maintenance departments.
- Organize machine blueprints, scan and save them to online files.
- Assist with developing a searchable spare part database.
- Assist with developing the UpKeep CMMS system.
