This position will improve plant processes to achieve the highest levels of safety, efficiency, and quality in all areas of production.
Key results areas :
- Align daily work and projects to plant objectives for safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Work with all areas of operations daily (production supervision, quality, hourly and maintenance staff) to ensure and improve process effectiveness.
- Work within the engineering group in the development and execution of new machinery and process improvements (capital and non-capital projects)
- Support production activities to implement and sustain manufacturing best practice
- Participate on and lead problem solving team activities.
- Process and product capability improvements, identify and actively support activities to improve key process performance indicators and improve full rate standards.
- Actively audit control plans, respect of standard work and compliance with requirements.
- Lead regular audits and assessments to ensure required QHSE procedures and processes meet standards and are properly controlled.
- Work with the technical and sales teams to deliver quality product including on site customer interactions as well as customer visits as necessary.
- Create mechanical drawings in accordance with company standards.
- Calculate and apply tolerances to engineering drawings to ensure fit, form, and function of mechanical parts.
- Generate and maintain bills of material on engineering drawings.
- Assign drawing numbers and descriptions in accordance with company standards.
- Effectively communicate all above requirements to shop fabrication personnel.
- Identify and select materials and components needed for equipment.
- Apply knowledge of manufacturing techniques to design readily manufacturable parts and systems.
Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
Experience : Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a technical field involving process engineering, management or quality
Knowledge : Strong technical and analytical skills, Lean concept exposure, Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office. AutoCAD or SolidWorks
Skills & Behavior :
Problem Solving & Complexity : Understanding of problem-solving methodology and ability to function independently as well as in a team to solve issues. Ability to disseminate data into trend recognition and statistical information utilized for performance measures and improvements
