Key Responsibilities:
Production & Operational Leadership:
- Oversee daily production operations, ensuring targets for safety, quality, cost, and efficiency are met or exceeded.
- Implement and drive lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes, eliminate waste, and improve productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take proactive measures to address gaps.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Foster a culture of problem-solving, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.
- Champion 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and other lean methodologies to drive operational excellence.
- Manage and develop a team of supervisors and production staff, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Work collaboratively within a unionized environment, maintaining positive labor relations and ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs).
- Promote employee engagement and a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and company safety policies.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential safety risks while fostering a zero-incident workplace.
- Lead training initiatives to promote a strong safety culture.
- 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing production management.
- Strong expertise in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and efficiency improvements.
- Proven experience managing teams in a unionized environment.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to drive change, improve performance metrics, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or related methodologies are a plus.
