Overview ($2,000 Bonus)
We are seeking a skilled Boat Captain to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and overseeing the navigation of boats, ensuring the safety of passengers and crew, and maintaining the vessel in optimal condition.
This position will be for events on the water for Douglas Lake and surrounding bodies of water. Furthermore, the incumbents must have strong customer service skills, be laid back, and, most importantly, like to have fun with various age groups, from families to parties.
Responsibilities
- Rigging and managing the boat for safe operation
- Navigating lakes
- Ensuring the safety of passengers and crew at all times
- Performing regular maintenance checks on the vessel
- Handling emergency situations calmly and efficiently
- Communicating effectively with passengers and crew
- Adhering to all maritime laws and regulations
Qualifications
- Valid OUPV 6-pack with Master’s License before Feb. 15, 2025
- Possess Mechanical knowledge for basic boat repairs
- Previous experience as a Boat Captain or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions
Season:
March to November
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
