Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic First Mate/Life Guard to join our crew. This individual will assist the Captain in the daily operations of our vessels, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our guests while maintaining a fun and engaging atmosphere, while providing food and beverages to our customers.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor.
- Assist the Captain in navigating and operating the vessel safely.
- Ensure the safety of all passengers and crew members at all times.
- Conduct pre-departure checks and maintain the vessel’s cleanliness and readiness.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering guest questions and assisting with activities.
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Handle payments and process transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
- Monitor weather conditions and communicate any changes to the Captain.
- Assist with the management of onboard equipment and supplies.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in training and safety drills as required.
- Clean the vessel and retrieve food and beverages.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Passion for water activities and knowledge of lake safety practices.
- CPR and First Aid Certifications are preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A passion for providing excellent service and creating memorable experiences for guests is essential.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
