Vermuyden Veterinary Practice is a small animal veterinary practice which is part of Portland Veterinary Group. We are located in the lovely town of Goole in East Yorkshire. Goole is a port town and civil parish on the River Ouse in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The town's historic county is the West Riding of Yorkshire. At the 2021 UK census, Goole parish had a population of 20,475. It is 16 miles north-east of Doncaster, 19 miles south of York and 29 miles west of Hull. You will be mainly based at our Goole practice but may spend some days at Portland Vet Group in Retford for experience.
We have a supportive and dedicated team of 13 vets and 14 RVN/SVN across the group. Practice facilities and equipment include digital x-ray system, ultrasound and a full internal lab. We've recently undergone a breath-taking transformation, expanding our small animal services, and setting the stage for even greater achievements.
Step into a supportive start
40.5 hours per week between 8am and 7pm Monday to Friday and some Saturday mornings.
Graduates will have key points of contact for clinical and pastoral support. They will be supported across all disciplines undertaken at the practice as required. Graduates are encouraged to learn new skills and fully participate in CPD/VetGDP. We aim to guide graduates towards self-reliance and independence through a broad and balanced skill set. We will work with graduates on an individual basis to align our aspirations with theirs. We have regular meetings, social events, one to ones as well as multiple communication channels to allow everyone access to information.
