Key Responsibilities:
As a Veterinary Doctor's Assistant, you’ll play a critical role in supporting our doctors, clients, and patients. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Acting as the liaison between doctors, clients, and patients.
- Communicating with clients for histories, treatment plans, discharges, and end-of-life care discussions.
- Creating and presenting treatment estimates.
- Ensure all necessary forms and documents are completed before and after treatments.
- Assist veterinarians during physical examinations and other medical procedures.
- Safely handle and restrain animals to ensure their safety and the safety of the team.
- Monitor and report patient conditions, including vitals and behavior changes.
- Provide basic care to patients, such as administering medications (under supervision), and maintaining patient comfort.
- Managing the flow of doctor schedules and appointments.
- Filling prescriptions for patients to go home with clients.
- Handling phone calls, emails, and records efficiently.
- Overseeing daily tasks, such as lab and radiology reports, callbacks/updates, and entering charges, etc.
- Ensuring patients are clean, comfortable, and well cared for.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the treatment floor and hospital.
- Working effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Multitasking, prioritizing, and managing time efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
- Clean and sterilize examination rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment.
- Restock supplies and medications as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation protocols.
- Collaborating with the team to maintain seamless communication.
- Utilizing EzyVet Software for medical records and hospital management.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry animals or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
Compensation:
Pay is commensurate with experience, skill level, and credentials.
