Position Overview : We are looking for a licensed Veterinary Technician with a minimum of 1 year of experience, or a non-licensed candidate with at least 2 years of experience, to provide exceptional care and support to our surgical team. The successful candidate will serve as the Office Manager and Lead Surgical Technician, playing a crucial role in assisting our veterinary surgeons, ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients, and overseeing clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist veterinary surgeons during surgical procedures, including preparation of surgical equipment, monitoring anesthesia, and providing surgical assistance as needed.
- Perform pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing comfort measures.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as blood work, radiographs, and ultrasound under the direction of veterinarians.
- Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately during examinations and procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care.
- Provide client education on post-operative care instructions and answer any questions or concerns.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain a clean and organized surgical suite.
- Oversee daily clinic operations and supervise support staff.
- Handle administrative tasks related to office management.
