Veterinarian Assistant Job Responsibilities
- Assist Veterinary Technicians with treatments/I.V’s/monitoring anesthesia/surgery prep, etc.
- Some reception duties as needed
- Maintains supplies and equipment.
- Maintains records.
- Cleans animal cages and equipment, walks dog patients outside when needed and maintains general cleanliness throughout the hospital.
- Maintains safe, secure, healthy, and humane environment by sterilizing and wrapping instruments, sanitizing operating areas, verifying shelf life of medications, rotating dog/cat foods, and complying with legal regulations.
- Completes daily and weekly tasks.
- Laundry
- Caring for our clients and patients with friendliness and compassion
- Standing, kneeling, and squatting as well as lifting up to 35 lbs. will be required to perform this job.
- Keeps walkways clear of ice and snow in winter. Sanding/salting, touch-ups of parking area between visits by plow
Work Hours & Benefits:
- We are open 8am - 7pm Monday, Tuesday & Thursday, 8am – 6pm Wednesday & Friday and Saturdays 8am - 4pm.
