Position Overview:
- Provides mechanical engineering assistance for technical reviews, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) using TileFlow software, commissioning coordination/oversight/duties.
- Assists the Government project managers in transitioning and closing out of all projects from the project team to the maintenance team and provides maintenance recommendations supporting those projects.
- Provides technical reviews and recommendations to the Government representative regarding improvements to energy efficiency to reduce the Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of the data centers in regards to the maintenance and operations of existing systems.
- Drafts Statement of Work (SOW)/Performance Work Statements (PWS), cost estimates and acquisition package requirements for recommendations approved by the Government.
- Review whole scale upgrades with a positive Return on Investment (ROI).
- Performs site visits as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
- Experience in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) TileFlow or equivalent program
- 5 years of experience in energy engineering or energy management with a focus on energy conservation for critical facilities
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED)
- 3 years of experience in building automation systems (BAS)
- Must be proficient with office automation software (i.e. MS Office, AutoCAD)
- Professional Engineering license preferred.
- Ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance is required
