Computer System Analyst I

Position Description :
- Provides operations and maintenance of hardware and software with minimal supervision in accordance with overall project objectives and requirements.
- Maintains and repairs PC workstations and laptop computers, and utilizes PC and DOS applications.
- Provides software maintenance, upgrades, and installation of new applications, debugging, and checkout.
- Supports integrated communications operations and maintenance tasks, to include : monitoring data communications network and resolving problems; monitoring hub activity, performing diagnostics.
- Refers to technical reference manuals to solve hardware and software problems.
- Updates documentation to record new equipment installed, new sites, and changes to computer configurations.
- Provides system maintenance and implementation of changes.
- Compares approved procedures to those processes that users followed.
- Explains user procedures for data entry, compilation, and transmission.
- Creates and delivers training for users and management.
- Identifies and implements enhancements to the systems.
- Cross-trained and qualified to operate at least one additional TACTS system.
- Documents maintenance actions in IEMS.
Minimum Education Level
High school diploma or equivalent.
