It is currently 60% reactive and 40% preventive. Goal is 20% reactive with 80% Purposeful PM work. Your Mission
- Transition from Reactive to Proactive Maintenance:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance strategy to improve uptime and reliability.
- Lead a team of three supervisors and 56 hourly maintenance technicians, providing clear direction and mentorship to drive operational excellence.
- Leadership and Culture Development:
- Inspire cultural change toward proactive and preventive maintenance practices, fostering ownership and continuous improvement.
- Provide consistent feedback, coaching, and professional development opportunities, creating an environment of accountability and high performance.
- Operational Impact and Continuous Improvement:
- Significantly reduce downtime, emergency repairs, and overall operational interruptions by deploying Smart Maintenance initiatives.
- Utilize data-driven insights from SAP (FURI module) and Power BI dashboards to inform strategic decisions and track performance metrics.
Requirements
- Must have served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Reserves, or U.S. National Guard.
- Proven leadership in maintenance or operational roles (military or civilian), demonstrating successful management of large teams.
- Expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging data analytics and digital maintenance tools.
- Comfort and proficiency using ERP systems such as SAP and reporting platforms like Power BI.
