What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor - 2nd Shift position at Veteran Hiring Solutions?
Job Description
We don't just make high-performance sealants and coatings-we're dedicated to craftsmanship, quality, and innovation. Keeping our production moving is mission-critical, and you are the key to making that happen.
Right now, our maintenance team is mostly reactive , responding to breakdowns as they happen. We need someone who can shift us toward a proactive, preventive maintenance program -reducing downtime, improving efficiency, and setting up long-term success.
If you're a hands-on leader who thrives in mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and mentoring a team , you'll love the challenge and opportunity here.

Building a Preventive Maintenance Program
Take us from a reactive to a proactive maintenance mindset.
Implement Limble CMMS to schedule preventive maintenance and track issues before they become major problems.
Reduce breakdowns and keep production moving with minimal downtime .
Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting
Work with a mix of older equipment and unique systems -there's no "one-size-fits-all" approach here.
Think on your feet to diagnose and fix mechanical issues quickly.
Collaborate with Richard (Maintenance & Facilities Manager, 24 years at Sashco) and the rest of the team to find the best solutions.
What We're Looking For
Experienced Maintenance Supervisor or Lead Tech -especially with mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and team leadership.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs -if you've helped implement or improve one before, even better.
Strong communicator and mentor -someone who can coach and develop a growing team.
Hands-on problem solver -comfortable jumping in and getting your hands dirty when needed.
Manufacturing background preferred -especially if you've worked with packaging equipment or mixers.
Why Join?
Culture That Stands Out - We're not your typical manufacturing company. Our team values craftsmanship, innovation, and a commitment to quality.
Make a Big Impact - This is your chance to build something from the ground up -your work will directly shape the future of our maintenance program.
Hands-On Leadership - You'll have the autonomy to lead, train, and implement real change while working alongside a knowledgeable, tight-knit team.
