What You'll Be Doing
Installation & Maintenance
- Install, repair and maintain equipment in a manufacturing or field site environment
- Install, repair, maintain, dismantle, and move large and/or complex industrial equipment
- Service and repair automobiles and their parts
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (mechanical, electrical)
- Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to enhance availability, capability and yield
- Perform equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance)
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems
- Prepare technical reports to document equipment modifications and maintenance procedures
- Perform routine work following standard procedures
- Work under close supervision
- Communicate information requiring basic explanation or interpretation
- Support overall team objectives in a maintenance environment
- Must have served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Reserves, or U.S. National Guard.
- Vocational Education background
- Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures and tools
- Ability to follow standard procedures and routines
- Good communication skills for sharing straightforward information
- Willingness to learn and develop maintenance skills
- Little or no prior experience required (entry-level position)
- Ability to work under close supervision
- Capability to perform supportive maintenance tasks
