What You’ll Do :
Prepare and support the implementation of Inventory and Cost ERP modules (SAP experience preferred).
Ensure standard costs are accurate by analyzing sales, cost of sales, and gross margins.
Collaborate with operations to ensure inventory accuracy, including coordinating statistical inventory audits.
Facilitate labor study updates and bill of materials audits.
Monitor and analyze freight costs, developing freight factors.
Develop and implement labor, fringes, and overhead factors, including budgeting.
Perform product profitability analysis and buy vs. in-house evaluations.
Support machinery efficiency analysis and pricing strategy formulation to enhance profitability.
Prepare and review monthly margin forecasts compared to actual margins.
Review specific model cost analysis and bills of materials.
Review month-end journal entries and account reconciliations.
Prepare ad hoc margin and cost reports for senior management.
Supervise, mentor, and motivate the cost accounting team.
Conduct internal control reviews and assist with year-end activities.
Initiate process improvements and participate in special projects.

Requirements
Must have served in U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Reserves, or U.S. National Guard.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA and Master’s degree preferred.
5 years of relevant accounting experience with increasing responsibility.
1-3 years of managerial experience in accounting.
Manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong analytical and technical accounting skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with peers and management.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
Self-motivated, deadline-driven, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint).
