What You’ll Do

• Lead a team of manufacturing engineers in key production areas within the plant.
• Oversee daily activities to maximize resource utilization and efficiency.
• Develop and manage team training programs, provide continuous feedback, and monitor performance.
• Collaborate with management to coordinate and execute project schedules.
• Participate in and lead equipment design, testing, commissioning, and final buyoff processes.
• Drive the development of manufacturing processes, systems, and station requirements, including automation, traceability, and maintenance strategies.
• Conduct process failure mode and effect analyses (PFMEA) to identify and mitigate risks.
• Develop and execute equipment validation plans.
• Monitor and track equipment performance, identifying root causes and implementing countermeasures to improve uptime and efficiency.

Requirements

• Must have served in U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Reserves or U.S. National Guard.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of hands-on manufacturing experience, including 3-5 years in management.
• Minimum of 3 years in a battery cell manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14000, and IATF 16949 standards.
• Experience designing and implementing large manufacturing lines and new equipment installations.
• Strong understanding of industrial engineering concepts such as line balancing and timing charts.
• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment safety systems, including PLCs, safety guarding, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Proficiency with PLC controls (Siemens, Mitsubishi, and/or Beckhoff).
• Experience with MES and database system architecture.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Formal problem-solving expertise for addressing complex issues.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (including up to 20% travel to China).
