What's the Mission?
You will be the backbone of the production team, creating carbon black—a key material used in everything from tires to inks. You'll safely manage equipment, keep an eye on control systems, and make sure every batch meets our high standards. In short, you're the go-to person making sure everything runs smoothly, safely, and reliably every day.
Here's What Your Day Looks Like
You'll spend your day running and supervising essential production equipment, including furnaces, boilers, mixers, pelletizers, pumps, and blowers, ensuring that the team consistently deliver quality materials. You'll regularly walk the production floor, inspecting machinery and systems to confirm everything is operating smoothly.
Staying on top of operations will mean taking accurate readings, collecting samples, and performing detailed inspections regularly. When unexpected issues arise, you'll swiftly step in to minimize downtime and keep production flowing smoothly.
You'll manage plant processes using the intuitive Distributed Control System (DCS) and clearly document all production details, environmental records, and any incidents in straightforward reports and logs. Quality control will also be key—ensuring every batch meets internal standards and surpasses customer expectations. Lastly, you'll handle all documentation and data entry carefully, ensuring company records in the SAP system are accurate and up-to-date.
This is a Union role! You will be paid $29.03 for the first 6-weeks. This is your training time. Then you will move to $35.03/hr! After you are trained and operation (usually around the 1yr mark), you will move to $41.76/hr!
This is a 12-hour shift role. You will rotate between days and nights. You have 7 day stretch off every month!
Requirements
Must have served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Reserves, or U.S. National Guard.
The company is looking for the DNA of a veteran. A good teammate, safe operator, ownership of the order, and disciplined team member.
They will train everything else! This is your opportunity to start a true career!
Benefits
Union role with a full benefits package to include retirement!
