What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Officer position at Veteran Security Services?
Shift is Thursdays and Fridays 6am-6pm
Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening.
Must be 18 years old to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment
- Check visitors in and out
- Conduct security checks and inspections of designated areas
- Respond to alarms and incidents promptly, taking appropriate action as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of security-related activities
- Provide excellent customer service and assist visitors with inquiries or concerns
- Enforce rules, regulations, and policies to ensure compliance and safety
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in law enforcement or military is preferred
- Knowledge of surveillance techniques and procedures
- Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively
- Familiarity with first aid procedures is a plus
- Understanding of loss prevention techniques and principles
- Ability to operate CCTV systems and other security equipment effectively
