Seeking a US Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military Spouse to apply for a Branch Manager opportunity for our client, an industry leading fluid power distributor and manufacturer, serving hundreds of customers worldwide. They are one of the largest Parker Distributors in North America, providing customers with hydraulic and pneumatic solutions. The Branch Manager is a hands-on leader who can manage day-to-day manufacturing, distribution, and operations for the branch to deliver ever improving bottom line results while simultaneously ensuring growth and long-term viability. High School diploma/GED, 5 years of hydraulic industry experience,3 years management experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment required.
Pay: $70K - $90K base, plus 5% commission of branch gross profit
Bonus: $10K signing bonus - paid $2500/quarter
Hours: M-F 7:30am - 4pm
· Manage safety to create a zero-accident workplace culture.
· Create a rolling multi-year Branch Business Plan that drives market share, growth and profitability.
· Create KPIs for all departments.
· Create an annual budget in collaboration with Finance.
· Collaborate with the Corporate Sales team to ensure market superiority and ability to win customers from the competition.
· Manage day-to-day operations of the branch and manage branch performance to achieve and exceed business objectives
· Review financial statements, other performance data, and goal achievement to drive a continuous improvement program to achieve best practice operations.
· Participate proactively in Corporate and lead Branch 4DX initiatives.
· Create a positive and performance-oriented workplace culture.
· Ensure a structured Team Development/Leadership plan is in place.
· Create associate development plans.
· Conduct 1:1s to ensure motivation, accountability, performance, associate engagement and associate wellbeing.
· Responsible for general facilities maintenance and contract overview of the facility
· Work directly with corporate Support Services (HR, IT and Finance), ensuring effective and efficient communication between support and business functions.
· Work directly with supply chain to ensure effective branch inventory management and to drive Inventory turns of at least 4.0 times per year.
· Become proficient in all applications including P21, Rubber Tree, Concur etc.
· In conjunction with senior management conduct an annual review of all compensation.
· US Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military Spouse preferred.
· High School Diploma/GED required.
· Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
· 5 years of hydraulic industry experience required.
· 3 years management experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment required.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
· Must be team oriented, detail oriented, and able to multitask.
· Proficient at using MS systems; including Excel, Outlook, and Word required.
· Experience in developing business cases and operational improvement programs required.
· ERP user level experience required.
Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to apply OSHA standards applicable and MSHA standards, as applicable.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to pull, push, grasp, bend, lift and carry up to 15 lbs. independently.
