Seeking a U.S. Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military Spouse to apply for a Cabling Operator opportunity with our client, a manufacturer specializing in high-quality cable products. Their offerings include instrumentation, tray, thermocouple, HVAC, fire alarm, broadcast, communication, utility, and custom-designed cables. This role is crucial for keeping production running smoothly and safely by operating, monitoring, and maintaining manufacturing equipment in a hands-on plant environment. Must have a High School Diploma, 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, and with cable production and/or cable installation.
Pay: $20.00–$21.00/hour
Location: Bensenville, IL (Parking available)
Status: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule:
- 1st Shift: Mon–Fri, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: Mon–Fri, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Essential Duties and Accountabilities
- Operate cabling machinery and set up equipment based on production needs.
- Interpret and follow work orders, technical drawings, or blueprints.
- Perform quality checks on startup samples and throughout the production run.
- Accurately complete production logs and documentation.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe throughout the shift.
- Follow safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Remain near machines during certain jobs and during paid breaks as needed.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding any issues, changes, or safety concerns.
Requirements
- U.S. Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military Spouse highly encouraged.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2 year’s experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Machine operation or mechanical setup experience required.
- 2 year’s experience with cable production or cable installation highly preferred.
- Must be eligible to work full-time onsite—this role is not remote.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening (note: marijuana testing varies by state).

Additional Info
- PPE provided: safety glasses and ear protection
- PPE Required: Steel/Composite toe safety shoes, safety shoes provided by employer after 720 hours.
