Job Overview
The Senior Biomedical Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and functionality of medical equipment within healthcare facilities. This position requires a skilled technician who possesses a strong understanding of biomedical equipment, along with the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various devices. The ideal candidate will have experience in field service and a solid mechanical knowledge base, allowing them to effectively support healthcare professionals in delivering quality patient care.

Duties

  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair of biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment repairs and maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Collaborate with OEM representatives for specialized repairs or technical support as needed.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on medical devices to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Provide training and support to junior technicians on best practices for equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively in the field service environment.
  • Assist in developing preventive maintenance schedules for various types of medical equipment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in biomedical equipment repair and maintenance, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to calibrate and repair complex medical devices.
  • Familiarity with computer hardware systems related to biomedical technology.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Experience with CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare staff and other technicians.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,746.00 - $65,994.00 per year

Ability to Relocate:

  • Grand Junction, CO 81501: Relocate before starting work (Required)
