About the Position:

VETS, LLC seeks a highly skilled Systems Engineer IV as our Program Artifact Manager (CM/DM/ERB/CCB Lead). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Configuration and Data Management (CM/DM) and Systems Engineering, with a proven track record of leadership in Department of Defense (DoD) or aerospace projects. This role requires a meticulous and strategic professional to oversee engineering lifecycle management, change control processes, and configuration accuracy. This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment offers will be extended only after contract award and funding approval.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Establish and maintain Configuration Management (CM) and Data Management (DM) processes and tools to ensure traceability, version control, and accessibility of program artifacts.
    • Administer CM/DM tools and databases, ensuring optimal functionality and providing user training as needed.
    • Oversee the generation, storage, and dissemination of technical and programmatic documentation in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure all artifacts comply with applicable standards, such as MIL-STD-973, EIA-649, or program-specific guidelines.
    • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate Engineering Review Boards (ERBs) and Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), ensuring stakeholder participation and adherence to change management protocols.
    • Manage the evaluation, approval, and implementation of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Requests for Change (RFCs), and associated workflows.
    • Coordinate with systems engineers, program managers, subcontractors, and government stakeholders to align artifact management activities with program objectives and needs.
    • Provide regular status reports on CM/DM activities, artifact metrics, and change control processes to program leadership.
    • Support configuration audits, readiness reviews, and deliverable artifact verification processes.
    • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and compliance in artifact management.
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, Information Management, or a related field.
  • 8 years of experience in Configuration/Data Management or Systems Engineering, with at least 3 years in leadership roleswithin DoD or aerospace programs.
  • Expertise in CM/DM principles, engineering lifecycle management, and change control processes.
  • Experience with CM/DM tools (e.g., Windchill, DOORS, or equivalent) and version control systems.
  • Analytical mindset for resolving artifact discrepancies and addressing configuration challenges.
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail for compliance and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving program requirements
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive consensus during ERBs/CCBs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders and document decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Certifications such as CMII, PMP, or equivalent.
  • Experience working on high-security DoD Programsrequiring strict configuration controls.

Travel: 10%

This is a Hybrid Position with a 75/25 Office to Homework requirement.

Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance is required (Top Secret/SCI eligibility ispreferred).
