About the Position:
VETS, LLC seeks a highly skilled Systems Engineer V to serve as our Systems Architecture Lead. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architecture development. This role requires a meticulous and strategic professional to oversee the technical architecture of complex systems, ensure system interoperability, and lead the development of architectural frameworks. This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment offers will be extended only after contract award and funding approval.
Key Responsibilities:
This is a hybrid position requiring 75/25 office-to-home work.
Security Clearance: Must have or be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen

Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Architecture Design and Oversight
- Design, implement, and oversee the technical architecture of complex systems to align with organizational goals and technical requirements.
- Define system-level designs and lead the development of architectural frameworks.
- Ensure interoperability across subsystems.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, developers, and project managers, to define technical standards and evaluate system performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure system designs meet functional and non-functional requirements like scalability, security, and reliability.
- Documentation and Compliance
- Develop and maintain system architecture documentation.
- Manage the integration of new technologies into existing frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Optimization and Risk Management
- Identify opportunities for system optimization and improvement.
- Facilitate technical decision-making through design reviews, risk assessments, and trade studies.
- Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering or a related field
- 15 years in systems engineering with extensive experience in architecture development.
- Strong expertise in system design, integration, and architectural frameworks
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail for compliance and documentation accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in CAMEO or other MBSE Tools.
- Proficient in Requirements Management and Requirements Management tools such as DOORS.
- Strong expertise in System design, Integration, and Frameworks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced Certifications such as CMII, PMP, or equivalent.
- Experience working on high-security DoD Programsrequiring strict configuration controls.
- Master's Degree
