Overview
Staffing Pros, a division of VETS Inc., is recruiting for a full-time CPSO primarily in the greater Northern Virginia area (NoVA/NCR). The selected candidate will oversee security management operations, serving as a Facility Security Officer (FSO), Information Technology Personnel Security Officer (ITPSO), and Contract Program Security Officer (CPSO), ensuring compliance with all federal security requirements.
This position requires an Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly.

Responsibilities
- Manage and implement security policies and procedures in accordance with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and 32 CFR Part 117.
- Serve as the FSO / ITPSO / CPSO, ensuring compliance with all security regulations and client requirements.
- Maintain and oversee security accounts within Defense Information Security System (DISS), National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), and National Industrial Security System (NISS).
- Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and training for personnel.
- Ensure compliance with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and Intelligence Community (IC) regulations.
- Develop and implement insider threat programs, cyber awareness initiatives, and personally identifiable information (PII) protection.
- Conduct security audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with government agencies and clients on security-related matters.
- Ensure timely reporting and resolution of security incidents.
Qualifications
- Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance with Polygraph (required).
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an FSO / CPSO supporting DCSA and IC programs.
- Extensive knowledge of DISS, NBIS, and NISS security systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Completion of FSO Curriculum for Possessing Facilities.
- Strong understanding of federal security laws, Presidential Directives, Executive Orders, and 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM Rule).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Reliable transportation for travel to client facilities in and around the National Capital Region.
- Ability to effectively detect, assess, and resolve security-related matters in a timely manner.
Desired Qualifications:
- NCMS ISP® Certification.
- Completion of Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) STEPP training courses, including:
- FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities
- Establishing an Insider Threat Program
- Insider Threat Awareness
- Personally Identifiable Information (PII) Training
- Cyber Awareness Training
- NISS External User Training
Location:
Greater Northern Virginia area (NoVA/NCR), with travel required to client facilities in and around the National Capital Region.
