Veterans Guest House is seeking a Receptionist to serve as the warm and welcoming first point of contact for guests, volunteers, donors, and visitors. This role is ideal for someone is friendly, smart, dependable, and interested in growing into larger responsibilities over time.
As the first point of contact for our organization, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere. The ideal candidate with be friendly, professional, and upbeat – helping to pleasantly assist up to 33 guests a day, volunteers, and donors. What You'll Do
The Receptionist is responsible for creating a positive first impression, guiding visitors to their intended destination.
Key responsibilities:
· Greet, welcome, and assist visitors and guests
· Answer, screen, and direct phone calls
· Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and common areas
· Answering visitor and guest inquiries
· Receive and log donations with care
· Support the team with light administrative tasks and other duties as assigned
· Ensure the kitchen and common areas are tidy, organized, and well-stocked
· Help with seasonal décor and creating an inviting, home-like space
· Ensure house guidelines and rules are followed, to create a peaceful environment for all
Qualifications:
· Comfortable interacting with a diverse range of audiences, including veterans, seniors, families, and volunteers
· Friendly, approachable, and professional with a desire to help others
· Confident and tactful in enforcing rules
· Willingness to learn
· Familiarity with basic processing software (Microsoft Office, etc.)
· Previous experience in customer services, hospitality, non-profit, or working with the public is a plus
· High school diploma or equivalent
This position is full time, 35 - 40 hours per week with benefits.
