The Southeast Louisiana VA Health Care System in New Orleans, LA is seeking a full-time BC/BE Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Physician to serve as a member of its Primary Care Team in Hammond, LA.
Job Description:
This opportunity allows you to provide high-quality medical care to our nation's heroes while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary care to approximately 12-20 outpatients daily in an outpatient setting
- Manage all facets of acute patient care, including ordering diagnostic testing and consulting with specialists and subspecialists
- Actively participate in performance improvement activities to enhance the quality and safety of care
- Utilize virtual or non-face-to-face clinical interactions, such as telephone calls and secure messages
Requirements:
- Board eligible or certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Experience in FM/IM
- Computer-literate with proficiency in computer skills
- U.S. Citizenship required; non-citizen candidates considered if a U.S. citizen is not found
- Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. state
