The Housekeeping Aid / EMS Tech Leader works under the direct supervision of the Housekeeping Aid Supervisor, Environmental Management Service at the Washington DC VA Medical Center.

Responsibilities:
Housekeeping Aid / EVS Tech Leader duties include but are not limited to the following:- Leads team members in housekeeping duties such as sweeping, dusting, damp mopping, scrubbing, stripping and refinishing, cleaning light fixtures, windows, furniture, restrooms, etc.
- Ensures team members utilize cleaning agents safely to prevent injury as well as damage to floors, furniture, walls and fixtures.
- Coordinates the work of team to clean assigned area efficiently and simultaneously.
- Ensures sanitation methods are observed Issues cleaning supplies Provides direction on proper use of supplies and equipment.
- Assists in On-the-job training of other Housekeeping employees.
