Responsibilities:
- Serve as a leader in communicating with, organizing, and managing community partner interactions
- Help build coalitions to implement suicide prevention programs aimed at reducing Veteran suicide in the catchment area
- Facilitate integration of suicide prevention education throughout the community
- Analyze current community capacity and organization to manage the intersection of community and facility resources
- Develop and strengthen Community-Based Interventions for Suicide Prevention (SP) by connecting VA programs and stakeholders
- Conduct community-based interventions and provide outreach and education on suicide prevention related topics and services
- Track and assess the response of all parties so that potential problem areas can be identified, avoided, and/or corrected
Requirements:
- Master's degree or doctoral degree in marriage and family therapy from a COAMFTE-approved program
- Full, current, and unrestricted MFT license to independently practice marriage and family therapy in a State
- At least one year of progressively responsible assignments and experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level
- Ability to organize work, set priorities, meet multiple deadlines, delegate tasks, and facilitate team building
