Veterans Inc. is seeking a Senior Clinician to assist in our expanding Inpatient Treatment Programming in Worcester County. The Senior Clinician is responsible for providing clinical support, participating in treatment planning, and following up with patient care services. The Senior Clinician must have extensive experience and competency in mental health and addiction training.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAY TO DAY
- Works with leadership to provide clinical guidance and support to designated staff.
- Responsible for assisting staff with treatment planning, participant assessments, and staff development of evidence-based practices and psychosocial approaches.
- Assists with developing strategic plans for mental health and substance use treatment and writing policies and procedures that support programming and reflect the agency's philosophy and objectives.
- Works with leadership to ensure all program standards are met to maintain licensure, compliance, and accreditation.
- Assists with staff training to support program needs and provide education regarding psychotherapeutic techniques and evidence-based treatment practices.
- Assists with identifying mental health and substance use assessment tools and how they should be administered.
- Assist with medical observation documentation, MAT, and psychiatric services while patients are in the program.
- Assists with developing and launching patient engagement initiatives, including outreach to de-stigmatize the utilization of counseling services. Works to enhance the "Culture of Care" and understands how to treat patients with dignity and respect and to de-escalate.
- Provide documentation and timely reports (including narratives and data reports) as needed.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:
- Master's Degree in Social Work or related field required.
- LMHC, LADC 1 required. LICSW Preferred.
- Two years of supervised substance use disorder counseling experience.
- One-year clinical supervisory experience; and has acted as Senior Clinician for over two years.
- Documented experience working with adults with a dual diagnosis of a mental illness and a substance use disorder.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills.
- Documented experience working with patients with trauma histories.
- Experience using electronic medical records is desirable.
