Field Service Technician
Full Time Position with Generous Benefits Package
$75-85K first year
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installs, services or repairs electromechanical equipment at the customer's site, our manufacturing sites, or sales and service offices.
- Utilizes hand tools and test equipment, such as multimeters, to perform work.
- Communicates technical issues with the Engineering Department.
- Field train customers.
- Performs in house phone troubleshooting support to customers.
- Supports sales for product demonstrations.
- Provides a range of known solutions to problems.
- Innovates on the fly to resolve new and unique problems.
- May be asked to cover after hours phone troubleshooting.
- Will be asked to travel extensively, nationwide.
- Build and maintain customer relationships.
- Performs other duties, as assigned by the manager.
- Able to book own travel with credit card (reimbursed weekly).
- Must live within 1 hour of a major airport.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with industrial and commercial electrical systems.
- Knowledge or experience of industrial mechanical systems preferred, but not necessary.
- Expert knowledge of supplied machinery (company provides extensive training).
- Requires travel up to 100% of the time, inclusive of consecutive overnights, between 10-14 days.
- Ability to accurately and effectively communicate problems and suggest possible solutions
- Good organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
