Join our dynamic team as an electromechanical Field Service Technician where you will utilize your customer communication skills and mechanical/electrical expertise to tackle complex technical challenges. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, modify, and test tools while traveling within the US. Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer sites to diagnose complex technical problems, perform on-site repairs, and conduct preventative maintenance
- Perform disassembly and reassembly of tools as necessary
- Troubleshoot technical issues via telephone
- Maintain professional communication with customers
- Interpret schematics and block diagrams to analyze problems
- Document product issues and resolutions in detail
Qualifications:
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems (servo motors, bearings, gearing, ball screws, and various way-moving systems)
- Proficiency in mechanical measurement and inspection techniques including the use of indicators, micrometers, and calipers
- Experience with electrical measurement and calibration techniques (voltmeter, oscilloscope, etc.)
- Working knowledge of fastening and assembly processes
- Proficiency in using basic hand tools
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Not Required But Our Ideal Candidate Would Have:
- Associates or technical in a technical field
- Background in field service
- General understanding of PLCs and pneumatics
