As an Event Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating, overseeing, and executing large-scale events, including department-specific functions, company-wide gatherings, and events outside of Columbia. Your role will be pivotal in creating a positive and engaging environment for all employees.
Job duties will vary upon assignment but may include:
- Plan, design, and execute large-scale events while managing all project elements within a specified timeframe.
- Coordinate event details, including venue selection, vendor management, décor, catering, entertainment, transportation, invitations, and promotional materials.
- Oversee events on-site, acting as the Veterans United representative to communicate, troubleshoot, and ensure smooth execution.
- Serve as the main point of contact for events, prioritizing resources and managing communication with speakers, participants, and employees.
- Contribute innovative ideas to enhance company-wide events, projects, and initiatives.
- Collaborate with Event Coordinators & Event Specialists, delegating responsibilities as needed.
- Ensure all events comply with legal, insurance, health, and safety requirements while maintaining proper documentation.
- Assist with additional team responsibilities as needed, excluding licensed activity.
