Veterinary Kennel Technician

Now Hiring: Experienced Kennel Attendant

Veterinary Associates of Cape Cod, the largest privately owned veterinary hospital on Cape Cod is seeking a skilled Kennel Attendant to join our dedicated team. If you have experience in animal care and a passion for providing top-quality care to pets, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care, feeding, and medication administration as directed by veterinary staff
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kennel environment, including disinfecting cages and living areas
• Walk, exercise, and engage animals in playtime
• Monitor animal behavior and report any health or behavioral concerns
• Assist with bathing, grooming, and basic pet care
• Safely handle and restrain animals when necessary

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a kennel, shelter, or veterinary setting required
• Familiarity with basic dog training and animal handling techniques
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Knowledge of pet grooming practices is a plus
• Understanding of veterinary procedures and protocols is an advantage
• Compassionate, reliable, and detail-oriented

Location: Cape Cod
Hours: 18 – 36 per week (Full-time & Part-time available)

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
