Our Rehabilitation Department is looking for an experienced registered veterinary technician (RVT) or veterinary assistant to join our growing practice! We have a service-oriented practice, with a focus on stress free patient visits, excellent client education, and treatment transparency. Our rehabilitation therapists and assistants perform the majority of our patient treatments and develop close relationships with clients. Our growing department has dedicated rooms for therapeutic exercise, underwater treadmill, and VetSystems whirlpool, and we offer Class IV & Class IIIB LASER, therapeutic ultrasound, and PulseVet extracorporeal shockwave therapy. Our veterinarians enjoy training and focus on continually learning; they carry certifications in acupuncture, trigger point needling, massage, and veterinary spinal manipulation.
The Rehabilitation Therapist is routinely entrusted with patient assessments, procedures, and treatments. The Rehabilitation Therapist must be a detail-oriented person who can maintain high standards of patient care and can work efficiently both independently and as a team. Rehabilitation Therapists must communicate clearly with the rehabilitation doctors, client services team, and the other rehabilitation staff to ensure that patients receive the care that they need and must be able to document all client communication and patient observations thoroughly.
Requirements
Rehabilitation Therapists must have at least 2 years prior experience as a veterinary assistant in a hospital setting. Certification in rehabilitation (CCRA, CCRVN, CCRP) is preferred; other related certifications (CCFT, COASM, massage) and/or canine training or competition experience is considered. Excellent client service skills, strong communication skills with co-workers, and a thorough understanding of canine and feline behavior are necessary.
Must be familiar with Microsoft Office programs and have the ability to learn electronic medical record systems (EzyVet). Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted, kneel, twist, and assist patients in a variety of positions. Hourly wage based on experience and certification.
