Job Title: Emergency Veterinary Technician/Experienced Assistant
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Veterinary Technician/Experienced Assistant to join our team in the ER department. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to provide quality care to patients and excellent service to owners.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and obtain a thorough history
- Obtain TPR's unassisted
- Work in am electronic medical record
- Perform treatments and assist doctors with procedures
- Efficiently perform venipuncture, catheter placement, analyze urine and fecal samples, perform blood work, position and acquire radiographs, give injectable and oral medications, and educate clients
- Complete all patient paperwork
- Must be available to work alternating weekend shifts and holidays
Requirements:
- Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician/Experienced Assistant
- Must have a passion for providing quality care to patients and excellent service to owners
- Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work all shifts
